The North American Soccer League announced this morning that they have entered into a partnership with beIN SPORTS to become the first professional league in North America to be covered on the network. The partnership had been reported and rumored for a few weeks and looked to be a done deal a few days ago when the first matchup of Fort Lauderdale vs Miami FC was on the beIN schedule.

The agreements marks a pivotal moment in the league's growth. During the 2016 season, beIN will air "a minimum of 34 matches" in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. One game each weekend will be aired live with five weekday matches throughout the season. beIN subscribers will also be able to stream the games online.
The NASL will now be broadcast on a sports network that also airs La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, and the Football League Championship. With over 45 million subscribers, viewership of the league should increase tremendously.
